Yellow voters also suffer similar forms of discrimination as Blacks.  Part of it may be fear that Asian Americans are not voting as conservatively as they used to.  The Republican Party of today is certainly not the same Republican Party my father's father was part of.  He joined that party way back when he felt that it was the more suitable party for Chinese immigrants like him to start a new life in America.  Friendlier to small business and such.  Though I'm under the impression the days of being nicer to small business owners, especially those of color for whom English is a secondary language at best...
      I must say.  I am dismayed to hear such blatant racist remarks coming from a pollworker on election day.  I have been one myself and would never allow such crap to happen on my watch.  Not without repercussions.  It's even more of a letdown to hear that they happened in "blue" states or cities with a history of a diverse population.  This may be more of a sign of xenophobic racism rather than a broad attempt to politically disenfranchise stereotypically "blue" voters.
